HERNANDEZ   Tensions and fears among the Mambulao town residents in CamNorte cooled off today after the 173 workers at a local factory were cleared of Covid-19 virus following their swab tests last night. “Yesterday and last night, the 175 employees (of Magnakron Oleo Phils, Inc.), went through Antigen (swab) tests, and only two were found positive,” says Mayor Ariel M. Non in his Facebook post today, updating the crisis at the premises of the factory. He identified the two recent cases as the company security guard and a factory worker. Mambulao town in CamNorte in deep health crisis after 18 local factory workers hit by virus   BY ALFREDO P HERNANDEZ   THE  town of Mambulao in Camarines Norte has been plunged into a deep health crisis after 18 workers at a factory on the town’s outskirts were hit by the Covid-19 virus. Most of the infected workers are living with their families in Mambulao two kilometers away from the factory. They are now in an isolation facility within the company premises, monitored by the Municipal Health Office staff. Contact tracing is now being carried out to find out the persons who had the last contact with those infected. The company, Magnakron Oleo Philippines, Inc., which has a coconut processing factory, has been placed under critical zone and granular lockdown. But the local government has assured it was working fast to vaccinate citizens for added protection. A resident gets her jab at a vaccination center in her baranggay. Already, all the health workers had received the jabs, while those for all Seniors were to come in batches, depending on the dose budget from the provincial unit of the Department of Health (DOH). Mambolenos have lauded the move of the local government unit (LGU) to first vaccinate the Senior Citizens.
